Achievements of Ukrainian Athletes at the World Summer Universiade
The World Summer Universiade concluded in Germany with a spectacular closing ceremony.

On the final day of the competitions, the Ukrainian team added another medal — a bronze. It was won by Mykola Rushchak from Sumy in the 20-kilometer race walking event.
Ukraine ranked 14th in the overall medal standings, with a total of 12 medals: 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
Mykola Rushchak shared his feelings about his achievement: «This is the highest international medal I have, and it's my first. I was just two seconds away from second place.»
Victoria Baranivska, who competed in the triple jump final, remarked: «The atmosphere here is amazing, the arena is fantastic, and the organization is top-notch. Each day, you start to love these competitions more and they energize you.»
Danilo Binder celebrated his international debut in rowing at the Universiade: «This is my first race at the international level on the water, and I will try to prepare better for the next race.»
For two weeks, student-athletes from 55 countries competed for Universiade 2025 medals. The top three teams were Japan, China, and the USA.
