Golf Ambassador's Visit to Odessa
Last week, Mr. Ozgur Tonguc Cuhali, the golf ambassador from Turkey, visited Odessa. He previously lived and worked in the city for many years, representing the Ukrainian-Turkish Business Association and participating in the renovation of the Odessa Specialized Psychoneurological Children's Home "Sunshine".
During his visit, Mr. Ozgur visited the "Sunshine" children's home, where he interacted with the children and medical staff, and also spent time at library No. 21, participating in a golf workshop.
Anna Lunova, acting head of the maternal and child health sector at the Health Department, noted that Mr. Ozgur assured that further collaboration and sponsorship from the sister city of Istanbul would continue.
On February 17th, the Odessa Golf Club held a workshop at library branch No. 21 for students from Lyceum No. 81, featuring Mr. Cuhali. The children learned golf techniques, hit their first balls, and received prizes.
Additionally, the ambassador spoke about the activities of golf clubs in Turkey and the involvement of children in local schools and libraries.
As part of the visit, cooperation between Bodrum and Odessa was planned to promote Olympic sports, particularly golf.
