Enhancing Cycling Infrastructure in Odesa
The municipal institution «Specialized Installation and Operation Unit» has summarized the outcomes of the work carried out during this wellness season along the city's coastline.
Thanks to the establishment of a two-way bike path from the 11th to the 16th station of the Great Fountain, cyclists can now safely travel from the city center to the 16th station.
«This bike path allows for safe movement around the city. We are witnessing an increase in its popularity, so, at the mayor's request, we will continue to expand cycling routes throughout Odesa,» said Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman.
The president of the «Arcadia» cycling club also noted the positive developments.
«This bike path has become the best in the city. Since its opening, I have seen a significant rise in the number of cyclists. People are actively responding to the new markings. It's encouraging, as we observe the growth of cycling sports in Odesa,» added Viktoriya Bondarenko.
The city's plans include further development of cycling infrastructure, connecting residential areas via new bike routes.
