Top Ukrainian Universities of 2025
The Odesa National University named after Mechnikov has made it into the top ten universities in the country according to the «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025» ranking.

In the latest ranking of Ukrainian universities, the Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko took the top position.
Coming in second is Lviv Polytechnic, which improved its previous year's third place.
In third place this year is the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Sikorsky, which led the ranking in 2024.
Sumy State University occupies the fourth position.
The fifth place goes to Lviv National University named after Franko.
In sixth place is the Kharkiv National University named after I. Franko.
The seventh position is held by the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences.
The eighth position is awarded to the Carpathian National University named after Franko.
Ninth place in the ranking goes to the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.
The Odesa National University named after Mechnikov is in tenth place.
It is noteworthy that the “TOP-200 Ukraine” ranking has been compiled for nine consecutive years. It is formed by the Centre for International Projects “Euroeducation” in collaboration with an international group of experts.
The Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko regularly appears in the list of the best universities in the country. However, last year it placed second, falling behind the National Technical University of Ukraine «Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky».
In forming this year's «TOP-200 Ukraine 2025» ranking, the compilers took into account modern trends in higher education transformation due to significant changes brought about by structural reforms and the large-scale losses caused by the ongoing war.
