Free DevOps Course for Veterans and Their Families
The Ukrainian Veterans Fund, recruitment platform Lobby X, and IT company SoftServe announce the launch of a free DevOps Fundamentals course for veterans, military personnel, their families, and the families of fallen defenders.
The course will cover:
- fundamentals of Git/GitHub;
- Linux: file system structure and basic administration tasks;
- scripting languages Bash and PowerShell;
- network administration concepts: protocols, IP addresses, subnetting, and routing;
- working with popular CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions;
- cloud providers IaaS, PaaS/Hosting;
- using services like AWS, Azure, and GCP;
- artifacts in DevOps and their role in development;
- soft skills necessary for the IT industry;
- job search tips and resume preparation.
The knowledge gained will help participants master the basics of DevOps, work with databases, set up development environments, and optimize project deployment processes. This will enable future DevOps specialists to implement changes more effectively and automate processes at every stage of development.
Classes will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 8 PM on the Zoom platform. Experienced mentors will introduce theoretical concepts and review practical assignments and homework.
Lectures will be recorded for those unable to join live.
The course starts on February 3, lasting for 9 weeks.
Requirements for participation:
a laptop (computer), internet access, time for homework.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate.

Spaces are limited, so after registration, a small test task on basic concepts and the creation of a Discord account will be required.
