Celebrating Literature: Honoring Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in Odesa

As part of the French Culture Week in Odesa, the Central City Library named after I. Franko hosted literary readings dedicated to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and his famous work 'The Little Prince'.

The event also featured the awarding of winners from the nationwide reading competition focused on this tale, which saw participation from nearly 100 individuals across the country.

Fans of Saint-Exupéry submitted video recordings of themselves reciting excerpts from 'The Little Prince' in both Ukrainian and French. The winners showcased their talents and received certificates and prizes.

Moreover, the event's ambiance was enhanced by performances from vocalists Sofia Mardarenko and Anastasia Yeromenko from the Arts School No. 13 in Odesa, bard Anatoly Sebov, and poet Vyacheslav Slysharuk, who read poems dedicated to Saint-Exupéry.
