International Educational Projects in Odesa

Educational institutions of communal ownership in Odesa are actively engaged in international initiatives with educational establishments from EU countries such as Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Latvia, and others.

Specifically, from October 6 to 11, 13 students from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 visited the youth camp ‘Krzyszów’ in Poland. This visit was part of a Polish-German-Ukrainian school exchange involving youth from schools in Leżajsk (Poland), Kaiserslautern (Germany), and Odesa (Ukraine).

During their stay at the camp, participants engaged in activities focused on intercultural communication, history, and tolerance. Talented young individuals united to carry out joint project tasks, including integration language introductions, language evenings-presentations, excursions around the ‘Gross-Rosen’ camp, and to the Church of Peace, as well as art workshops.

Additionally, in early October, 15 students from Odesa Lyceum No. 90 visited one of the schools in Bremen (Germany) as part of international cooperation.

Over eight days, the children lived with German families, participated in joint projects, creative activities, as well as trips and excursions to the cities of Bremen, Hamburg (Germany), and Groningen (Netherlands).

During their travels abroad, young Odesans had the opportunity to communicate with peers from Poland and Germany, demonstrated a high level of foreign language proficiency, and deepened their knowledge of German and Polish languages, as well as the history, culture, and traditions of these countries.
