Students in Odesa to Return to In-Person Learning: New Guidelines
Odesa school students are expected to return to in-person classes starting Monday, April 14, provided the classroom temperature exceeds 17 degrees. Each school will make this decision independently.
This information was shared on April 13 by the head of the city’s education department, Olena Buinevych.
Class teachers must inform parents about the situation in their schools.
«Today, all schools will check the temperature. If it is above +17°C, we will proceed with in-person classes. School directors and teachers are just as eager for in-person learning as parents and children are. The end of last week confirmed the need for remote learning, so we act in accordance with health regulations», – emphasized Buinevych.
It is worth noting that due to a sudden drop in temperatures, Odesa schools shifted to remote learning starting April 8. This decision sparked outrage among parents who believe that their children should be attending school.
