Victory in the History Olympiad: A Journey to Success

From April 9 to 13, the IV stage of the National Olympiad in History took place in Lutsk, gathering over 140 students from all regions of Ukraine.

The event was ceremoniously opened at the Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art Korsak.

The competition consisted of two rounds: theoretical and practical.

As a result of the Olympiad, 11th-grade student Artem Pastoshchuk from Odesa Lyceum No. 9 emerged as the absolute winner of the National Olympiad in History (history teacher - Sidenko Alina).

The road to this long-desired victory took 4 years. In 2022, he won first place at the regional stage of the history Olympiad but could not participate in the training camp due to the full-scale invasion.

A week prior, Artem participated in the IV stage of the National Olympiad in Geography, where he earned a II degree diploma.

Throughout 2023 and 2024, Artem participated in various subject Olympiads and intellectual competitions, achieving a record number of prize places at different levels.

Additionally, Artem Pastoshchuk is a Presidential scholar and a scholarship recipient from the Mayor of Odesa.
