Innovations in Rehabilitation: Odessa Conference 2025
Last week, a significant scientific and practical conference titled “Innovations in Rehabilitation - 2025” took place in Odessa. This event was organized in collaboration with the Rehabilitation Management Association and Odessa National Medical University.
The conference highlighted the current state and future prospects of rehabilitation services in Odessa and Southern Ukraine. A particular focus was given to Odessa's successful experience in providing veterans with opportunities in adaptive sports, including participation in international competitions. The effectiveness of this medical and psychological rehabilitation method for integrating Ukraine's defenders into society was emphasized.
Additionally, discussions were held regarding the organization of a patient-centered approach in delivering rehabilitation services, using City Clinical Hospital No. 10 as a case study. Specialists from City Hospital No. 8 shared insights on integrating rehabilitation infrastructure into the natural environment and utilizing training areas that replicate natural and urban settings.
It is noteworthy that Odessa possesses substantial medical and recreational potential for developing a comprehensive rehabilitation system in Southern Ukraine.
