New Medical Hub in Odesa for Mariupol Residents

A medical center named «Mariupol. Health» has opened in Odesa on Family Glodan Street, consolidating five medical facilities relocated from Mariupol:

  • Mariupol City Hospital No. 9 outpatient clinic;
  • Outpatient clinic No. 9 of the Primary Healthcare Center No. 2 of Mariupol;
  • Rehabilitation department of Mariupol City Hospital No. 8;
  • Women's consultation of the Mariupol City maternity hospital;
  • Dentistry office.

This is the fifth medical hub relocated to other Ukrainian cities where Mariupol residents live. According to the Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, this center is the largest among those previously opened and the last in a series of such projects. Here, medical assistance will be available to everyone in need.

Vadym Boychenko thanked the Odesa community, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, the Executive Director of the Association of Cities of Ukraine Oleksandr Slobozhan, and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for their ongoing support in establishing the center.

«Today marks 11 years since Odesites elected me as the mayor. During this time, we have renovated many city hospitals, outpatient clinics, and health centers in Odesa. We work daily to improve the quality of medical services. Today, Odesa has gained another opportunity to receive quality medical care in modern conditions. This also creates additional jobs,» said Hennadiy Trukhanov.

During the event, words of gratitude were expressed to the defenders of Mariupol. Among those present were Heroes returned from captivity. They will have the opportunity to receive treatment and rehabilitation at the new medical center, which has been created with all necessary conditions for their recovery.
