Advanced Endoscopy Technology for Gastric Diagnosis in Odesa
A new state-of-the-art fibrogastroscope has been introduced at the Consulting and Diagnostic Center No. 6 in Odesa.
This device is equipped with chromoscopy modes, allowing for the assessment of mucosal conditions and early detection of oncological diseases, as well as diagnosis of gastritis, peptic ulcers, and other gastric pathologies, and performing procedures for removing foreign bodies.
Thanks to advanced video processing and monitor technology, doctors receive a clear high-quality image during examinations.
The processor also features photo and video recording capabilities, enabling the documentation of pathological changes in the stomach, esophagus, or duodenum to determine the future treatment plan for patients.
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) in Odesa's medical facilities is performed free of charge under the state medical guarantee program, based on an agreement with the National Health Service of Ukraine.
Last year, over 24,500 procedures were conducted in the city's medical facilities. It is recommended to undergo gastroscopy routinely after the age of 50, even in the absence of complaints.
Odesa's medical institutions are equipped with modern diagnostic equipment for conducting esophagogastroduodenoscopy. The service is provided on an outpatient basis upon referral from a family or attending physician.
