New Horizons for Ukrainian Orthopedics
Orthopedic specialists from Odesa are part of the Ukrainian delegation attending the German Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology DKOU - 2025, held in Berlin from October 28 to 31, 2025.
Ukrainian experts showcased their domestic injury surgery school on an international platform and discussed future collaboration with colleagues from around the globe.
During the Congress, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the All-Ukrainian Association of Injury Surgery and Rehabilitation and the German Society of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery. This document solidifies the strategic partnership of two strong professional communities and opens new opportunities for experience exchange, joint research, and scientific publications, as well as participation in international training programs and forums.
«The signing of the Memorandum is a crucial step for our country, ensuring interaction between two major professional associations from Ukraine and Germany. It broadens our access to contemporary European science and clinical practice, allowing us to implement the achievements of global trauma and orthopedics into the medical care we provide to our patients,» stated Serhiy Varzary, the chief freelance orthopedic traumatologist of the Health Department and an expert of the Ministry of Health in the field of orthopedics and traumatology, who is participating in the Congress.
