New Healthcare Services for Veterans in Odesa
The Odesa Primary Healthcare Center No. 3 has initiated a new project offering a wide range of medical services for war veterans, aimed at improving their health and quality of life.
This project, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, significantly expands the free medical services available at the primary care level for military veterans.
The services focus on issues related to the consequences of combat, provide psychological support, treatment accompaniment, and social support.
Combat veterans who have retired, as well as persons with war-related disabilities, can benefit from these services.
What services are available for veterans?
1. Individual monitoring and treatment plans, examinations, diagnostics, and preventive check-ups considering health status and medical history.
2. Screening for conditions resulting from combat: PTSD, chronic pain, hypertension, digestive issues, etc.
3. Extended psychological counseling and psychotherapy.
4. Referrals to psychiatrists or psychologists for individual and group therapy, stress and anxiety management.
5. Treatment of chronic conditions and combat injury consequences, including specialist consultations.
6. Diagnostics for vision and hearing impairments, along with further treatment.
7. Development of individual rehabilitation plans for patients with post-traumatic conditions.
8. Prescription medications for chronic pain management and neurological and emotional disorders.
9. Support in dealing with addictions.
10. Social counseling for access to medical and social services.
To utilize the services, a declaration with a Center doctor must be established, and original documents must be provided:
1. A document verifying veteran status.
2. Passport or identity document.
3. Identification code or series and passport number.
