Honoring Veterans for Their Athletic Achievements
On April 15, 2025, during a meeting of the Odessa City Council Executive Committee, Gennadiy Trukhanov awarded veterans for their participation in a long-distance marathon in the Aegean Sea.
Adaptive athletes from two teams successfully navigated the symbolic route on yachts, showcasing their skills in the strength event of "tug of war."
For their active community engagement, promotion of adaptive sports among veterans, significant contribution to the development of international sports cooperation, and their courage and teamwork demonstrated during the marathon in Greece, they received awards.
