Zelensky Meets with American Business Leaders

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with representatives from American companies that are members of the Chamber of Commerce to discuss critical support from the U.S.

This was reported by the press service of the President's Office on the evening of July 2, according to "European Truth".

The meeting included representatives from Horizon Capital, Cisco Systems, Unilever, Carlsberg, Avrora Multimarket, Microsoft, KPMG, Winner Imports, Coca-Cola, Cargill, CHS, Citibank, AON, CBRE, OTIS, KBR.

Also present were representatives from Pfizer, Google, Baker Hughes, WTW, Wooden Horse, Parsons Corporation, Visa, AGCO, McDonald's, Honeywell, ADM, Raytheon, MasterCard, Auterion, CRH, TechMet, Argentem Creek, Boeing, D&M Holding, IBM, Shield AI, and the president of the American Chamber of Commerce, Andriy Gunder.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to American businesses for their presence in Ukraine, which he stated "speaks to stability in Ukraine." He emphasized that Ukraine values all support provided by the U.S. and bipartisan backing.

"Signals regarding risks of diminished or slowed assistance from the U.S. – I think we are all not interested in this. Neither American businesses nor Ukrainian businesses, because Patriot systems do not choose who to protect in Ukraine from Russian aggression. Air defense systems and other protections preserve lives, opportunities, and production capabilities for absolutely everyone," the president said.

Andriy Gunder noted Ukraine's resilience in wartime and remarked that 88 chamber members have family and loved ones serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also reported that 53% of companies have suffered damage to their facilities and offices due to Russian shelling.

"One of the things we always ask the American government for is to provide protection for American businesses here and to supply missiles to Patriot," he said.

Meeting participants stressed the importance of continuing support and enhancing Ukraine's air defense.

As reported, on July 1-2, American media mentioned that the Pentagon had halted the delivery of some air defense missiles and other precision munitions to Ukraine due to concerns that U.S. weapon stocks were too diminished.

Later, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine is "working at the levels" to clarify details with the U.S. regarding military aid supplies following reports of halted deliveries.

The WSJ reported that the Trump administration's decision to suspend some military aid to Ukraine pertained to weapons already stored in Poland.
