Strengthening Defense: New Agreements Between Ukraine and the US
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he discussed strengthening air defense and military cooperation during a conversation with the US leader.
In a message on Telegram, Zelensky stated: "Today we talked about the current situation: Russian airstrikes and the overall situation at the front. President Trump is well-informed, and I appreciate this attention to our country. We discussed enhancing air defense and agreed on further steps".
Zelensky also emphasized that the capabilities of the defense industry and possibilities for joint production were discussed during the conversation.
"We are open to direct projects with America and consider this extremely important for our security, especially regarding drones and relevant technologies," the president said.
Another topic of discussion included mutual investments and procurements. "We exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and our joint work with America and other partners," Zelensky noted.
The president expressed gratitude for US support and highlighted the need for a "fair agreement for peace, and Ukraine backs American proposals."
