Murder During a Celebration: Case Details
During a dispute following a gathering, one participant stabbed another with a knife.

The incident took place in June last year. Investigators found that at the home of a 39-year-old man in a village of the Tairovo community, an argument arose with a 30-year-old acquaintance after a joint celebration. During the conflict, the guest grabbed a knife and stabbed the host in the back.
Realizing what he had done, the perpetrator called the police and an ambulance. Upon arrival, the medical staff confirmed the victim's death. According to the forensic examination, the cause of death was acute blood loss due to a stab wound to the chest.
Investigators detained the offender in accordance with the law. Subsequently, the court chose a preventive measure of detention for him.
During the pre-trial investigation, which was conducted under the supervision of the prosecutor's office, police gathered sufficient evidence of the criminal actions of the detainee and charged him with murder, meaning intentionally causing the death of another person.
The indictment under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was sent to court. At the court hearing, the accused admitted his guilt, blaming it on alcohol. After reviewing the evidence and considering the defendant's sincere remorse, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to eight years in prison.
