International Delegation Visits Odesa
An international delegation from the United Nations, including representatives from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), is currently visiting Odesa.
This visit, organized by UNDP in Ukraine, includes five UN ambassadors and other esteemed guests aimed at enhancing collaboration with local agencies.
During their working visit to Odesa, the delegation toured projects supported by the UN.
The mayor expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Odesa, particularly in the reconstruction of one of the departments of hospital No. 8.
Gennadiy Trukhanov noted that the facility is a regular hospital and does not provide emergency services. However, it has already saved numerous lives, especially by treating casualties from hostile attacks, thanks to the skilled staff and modern equipment available.
Participants of the meeting also discussed further cooperation opportunities, including attracting international investments for infrastructure projects such as upgrading the sewage and drainage systems and constructing housing for internally displaced persons.
