Greening Initiative in Odesa: Tree Planting for Remembrance Day
Yesterday, on May 8, 2025, an ecological initiative took place in Odesa, where gardeners, along with local residents, planted 60 young sophora trees. This event was dedicated to Remembrance Day and Mother's Day.
Specifically, 40 saplings of sophora were planted in Taras Shevchenko Park, while the remaining 20 were planted in Victory Dendropark. All trees are under 10 years old and have a closed root system, which helps them better adapt to urban conditions.
The efforts to green urban areas in Odesa are ongoing, and such initiatives are crucial for improving the ecological situation in the region.
