Heavy Rain in Odesa: Impact and Recovery Efforts
As a result of prolonged rain and wind that lasted nearly a day in Odesa, 70 trees and large branches have been knocked down. Information is being updated continuously. The city's municipal services immediately began work to mitigate the aftermath of the storm.
Emergency situations are being addressed by specialists from the municipal enterprises «City Green Trust», «City Roads» and «Housing and Communal Services» at their respective locations. The municipal workers are sawing fallen trees and removing them, as well as cleaning up streets from debris.
Firstly, they are clearing roads, highways, and pedestrian paths from fallen trees, as well as removing those that obstruct access to socially significant facilities.
Currently, work has been completed at 37 locations, while efforts are still ongoing at 33 sites.
