Revival of Tram Route in Odesa
In the city of Odesa, work is actively underway to restore tram route No. 18, which links Kulikovo Field to the Memorial of the 411th Battery.
The mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with representatives of the housing construction cooperative «Morsky-1». Prior to the full-scale war, the cooperative had committed to modernizing the tram turnaround ring at the 16th station of the Great Fountain, located near a new residential complex. However, due to the war, the cooperative is currently unable to fulfill its commitments in full.
«We reached an agreement with the cooperative's management for joint participation in the works to create a temporary tram exit. The cooperative is procuring materials, while KP «Odesmiskelektrontrans» is carrying out all necessary work», noted the mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
Experts predict that it will take approximately two months to fully launch route No. 18. Currently, work has begun to clear the tracks from the 12th station of the Great Fountain to the Memorial of the 411th Battery from debris, branches, and other obstacles.
