Municipal Services: Ensuring Cleanliness and Order in the City

Every day, around 1200 municipal workers are dedicated to maintaining order in their assigned areas. They utilize both manual labor and specialized equipment to clean streets and ensure the proper condition of urban infrastructure and green spaces.

In addition to daily cleaning tasks, municipal workers carry out maintenance and repair of the city’s stormwater drainage and important hydraulic structures, such as buffer ponds and channels.

Starting from spring, when favorable weather prevails, up until autumn, municipal staff work on cleaning monuments that are not considered cultural heritage. They repair and repaint them as necessary.

As the fountain season approaches, specialists prepare by decommissioning and setting up the equipment.

Landscapers undertake tasks such as pruning roses, shrubs, and trees, as well as seeding lawns and tidying up flower beds.

Odessa’s cemeteries are also maintained in proper sanitary conditions. Municipal workers clear away last year’s leaves, weeds, and remove waste.

Daily tasks include cleaning around residential areas. Municipal workers address illegal dumping sites and tidy up common use areas.
