Fountain Updates in Odessa: New Openings and Future Plans
Experts from the municipal enterprise «Service Center» have unveiled another fountain beloved by the locals. This one is located in the Theater Square near the Odessa Opera House and is considered one of the most beautiful fountains in the city.
This spring, 15 out of the 27 fountains serviced by the enterprise are being prepared for launch.
Currently, the fountains in the City Garden, as well as those in the Stock Exchange and Theater Squares, are already operational.
The municipal workers aim to reopen the other fountains by May 5th.
The fountains operate from 9 AM to 9 PM.
However, due to their high energy consumption, some fountains in Odessa are not operational under martial law conditions. Since the start of the war, 4 fountains located in the UNESCO zone have been fully decommissioned: the Memorial Fountain in memory of the victims of German-Romanian fascists, the fountain «Petya and Gavrik», the fountain «Youth», and the well-fountain «Source».
