Artistic Initiatives Supporting Military Personnel
During October and November 2024, the Municipal Institution of Extracurricular Education «Odessa City Center for Choreographic Arts» hosted the charity art project «Open Your Palms for Good» and a nationwide seminar-practice on «Stylization of Ukrainian Folk Stage Dance and Methodological Approaches to Teaching Contemporary Dance in Choreographic Groups».
The event was organized in partnership with the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine and the Odessa Regional Organization of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine.
Funds raised from ticket sales for the concert «Open Your Palms for Good» were allocated for the purchase of essential equipment and materials for military personnel undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in medical facilities in Odessa.
The seminar-practice program included workshops led by leading experts in choreography, demonstration lessons, and discussions on current issues regarding the methodology of teaching contemporary dance in children's choreographic collectives.
As a result of participation in the seminar, all attendees received certificates of professional development.
