Innovative Rehabilitation Project: Bionic Prosthetics in Odesa
A large-scale initiative is underway in Odesa to establish a bionic prosthetics production facility within the city's Rehabilitation Center based at City Hospital No. 5.
Representatives from the German organization Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe visited the designated building within the hospital, where this innovative project is set to take place.
«Throughout the ongoing war, our German donors have provided assistance to Odesa through the charity fund "Morning of Revival". We are currently exploring new ways to support veterans», – stated Veronica Etnarovych, advisor to the Mayor of Odesa.
The German partners expressed high regard for the Mayor's initiative and the ambitious plans for the southern Ukrainian rehabilitation center.
Adam McKerrow, head of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe in Ukraine, showed interest in collaborating to create a bionic prosthetics production line and to train Ukrainian specialists alongside German prosthetists.
«The tender for the rehabilitation center's renovation has already been held, and the project is currently in development. I am grateful to our German partners for this initiative and hope that the production of bionic prosthetics will commence soon», – emphasized Levon Nikogosyan, Director of the Department of Health.
