Advanced Mammography Equipment in Odessa

A modern mammography unit has been installed at the Consultative-Diagnostic Center of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Odessa, located at: 38 Bolgarska St.
The new Giotto Class 3D-C mammograph features second-generation tomosynthesis, allowing for 3D imaging of breast tissue with 1 mm thick slices. This enables the detection of even the smallest changes in tissue at the earliest stages, significantly improving the effectiveness of prevention and treatment.

Advantages of the Giotto Class 3D-C mammography:

  • High diagnostic accuracy — tumors can be detected before symptoms appear.
  • Minimal radiation exposure.
  • High image quality — a wide scanning angle, excellent sharpness, improved contrast, and reduced noise ensure clear and informative images.
  • Comfort and speed of the procedure.

Mammography is provided free of charge with an electronic referral from a family doctor or a specialist — mammologist, obstetrician-gynecologist, oncologist, etc.

The mammography room No. 718 operates on the 7th floor of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Advance registration is required via the hospital's contact center at (0800) 33 23 01.

Additionally, modern laboratory equipment and ultrasound machinery have been acquired for the clinical hospital.

Modern mammography facilities are also available in other districts of Odessa:
Kyiv district — Consultative-Diagnostic Center No. 20, 62 Levitan St., phone (094) 949 10 19, (048) 798 80 19.
Peresyp district — Consultative-Diagnostic Center No. 29, 100 Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue, in the trauma center, phone (048) 758 52 56, (048) 758 50 45.

To ensure timely diagnosis of precancerous conditions and early-stage treatable cancers, the National Health Service of Ukraine recommends screening mammography for women over 45 every two years.

Women at risk, including those with close relatives who have had breast cancer or those suspected of having tumors found during manual examination or ultrasound, should undergo mammography annually.
