New Stamp to Support Ukraine's Railways

In a show of support for Ukrzaliznytsia, which recently faced a significant cyberattack, Ukrposhta has released a unique stamp as part of the ‘Own Stamp’ initiative.

This was reported by Ukrposhta representatives, according to the correspondent of the Ukrainian Information Service.

The new stamp features the iconic glass in a glass holder, illustrated by artist Oleksandr Nikityuk — a timeless symbol of railway travel. It embodies warmth, like a summer evening in a train compartment, and strength, like the railway tracks — reminding us that true traditions cannot be broken by any attack.

While every passenger on Ukrzaliznytsia can enjoy a signature glass of tea during their journey, the number of stamps is limited.

100 exclusive sheets featuring this legendary symbol will be randomly distributed among passengers who have sent messages of support to railway workers via the feedback form in the app since its restoration after the cyberattack.

Each stamp will come with a special bonus — 1440 iron hugs, the length of the longest railway route from Zaporizhzhia to Uzhhorod.

As a reminder, ‘hugs’ are bonuses that passengers receive for their travels when purchasing tickets through the Ukrzaliznytsia app. Thus, the more kilometers traveled, the more hugs can be exchanged for various bonuses and discounts from Ukrzaliznytsia and its partners within the ‘Iron Friends’ loyalty program, which will be revived soon.
