Fountain Maintenance in Odessa: Repairs and Upgrades
In Odessa, specialists from the municipal enterprise «Service Center» have conducted upgrades to several city fountains.
As part of the ongoing maintenance of fountains at the Theater and Train Station Squares, scheduled works were carried out to clean nozzles and external filters, flush the sand filter, and check the functioning of the dosing pump and reagent levels.
Furthermore, the staff of «Service Center» regularly carries out cleaning of the fountain basins, removes litter from the water, cleans external filters, and ensures water levels are adequate.
The specialists also renovated the fountain called «Corner of Old Odessa» located on Gogol Street. Key tasks included repairing and painting the fountain basin, fixing chips in decorative elements, refreshing the painted surface of the composition, and performing technical maintenance of the equipment.
The Odessa City Council reminds the public of the importance of taking care of communal property.
Swimming in city fountains, bathing animals, or throwing any items/trash into the fountain basins is strictly prohibited.
Due to vandalism, fountains often cease operation while necessary repairs are made.
Additionally, it is crucial to follow safety rules and avoid contact with fountain water, as it is treated with special agents to prevent blooming.
