Odessa's Recovery Efforts Following the Storm

Nearly 1500 municipal workers are deployed on the streets of Odessa. Cleanup efforts are ongoing following the storm that occurred on September 4-5.

As of the morning of September 6, there are reports of 40 fallen trees and large branches. More information is still coming in.

Greenery specialists from the municipal enterprises ‘City Greenery’ and ‘Housing and Communal Services’ are alternating between cutting and removing fallen trees and branches. Priority is given to trees obstructing traffic or access to important social facilities.

Experts from ‘City Roads’ are engaged in clearing storm drains, drainage wells, and collectors. They are washing and removing sand and dirt brought onto the streets by rainwater, both manually and with special equipment.

Moreover, due to the storm, there have been disruptions in street lighting networks at 30 locations. Specialists from ‘Odessa City Light’ are working to restore these networks.

Additionally, the municipal workers continue their scheduled tasks of cleaning assigned areas, collecting, and removing fallen leaves and miscellaneous debris.
