Quality Assessment of Artesian Water in Odesa's Wells
The quality of artesian water used in Odesa's wells is monitored by the State Institution «Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine».
According to the agreement between the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center» and the State Institution «ODESA REGIONAL CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL», water testing for consumers is conducted monthly.
Based on microbiological research results, as of October 2025, purified drinking water from the well complexes meets the sanitary standards DSanPiN 2.2.4-171-10.
All protocols are available at the wells for public review.
Additional Information
There are 17 wells in Odesa with depths ranging from 111 to 149 meters. All wells are serviced by the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center». According to estimates from the «Service Center», on average, 45 thousand residents utilize the well services daily. The average water consumption in one well is 8 – 12 cubic meters.
