Attention Residents: Beware of Unauthorized Interference in Your Homes
Residents of Odessa are urged to remain vigilant regarding potential unauthorized interference by outsiders in the life-support systems of their buildings.
Recently, employees of the municipal enterprise «JKS «Cheriomushki» responded to a request from residents of Geraniyeva St. 10, regarding the need to drain water from the heating riser for the installation of new radiators.
Upon inspection, it was discovered that the lock on the basement door had been replaced by a representative of the company «Service Plus» without permission.
This company does not service the specified building, which hindered access for the utility workers to the basement.
According to the Act of Readiness for the Heating Season, co-signed with the municipal enterprise «City of Odessa Heating Supply», the employees of «JKS «Cheriomushki» must have free access to this area.
The building is serviced by the municipal enterprise «JKS» under a relevant contract. To carry out urgent work, the utility workers had to cut off the old lock, install a new one, and perform all necessary tasks.
«The request has now been addressed, radiators have been replaced, and the system is functioning properly. The facility is ready for the heating season 2024-2025», - stated Alexander Musafir, the head of district №2 of «JKS «Cheriomushki».
This is not the first instance where employees of managing companies that previously serviced the buildings resort to unauthorized actions regarding the housing stock.
