Enhancement of Cycling Infrastructure in Odessa
The municipal establishment «Specialized Installation and Maintenance Unit» has summarized the efforts made this recreational season along the city's coastline.
Thanks to the establishment of a two-way bike lane from the 11th to the 16th station of the Big Fountain, cyclists can easily travel from the city center to the 16th station.
«The bike lane allows for safe movement throughout the city. We notice that its popularity is growing, and under the mayor's directive, we will continue to develop cycling routes across the city,» said Pavel Vugelman, Deputy Mayor of Odessa.
The president of the cycling club «Arcadia» also noted the positive changes.
«This bike lane has become the best in the city. Since its opening, I have seen a significant increase in the number of cyclists. People are actively responding to the new markings. It's pleasing to see the growth of cycling sports in Odessa,» stated Victoria Bondarenko.
The city plans to further enhance the cycling transport infrastructure, including connecting residential areas through new cycling routes.
