New Opportunities for Blood Donation in Odesa
Last week, with the support of the «Donor Odesa» project, a blood donation event was held at the city clinical hospital No. 1, organized by a team from the Odesa regional blood transfusion station.
Around 30 staff members and visitors of the hospital participated as blood donors. The team at the city clinical hospital No. 1 has consistently engaged in blood donation initiatives, both at the facility and through the citywide campaign «Donate Blood — Save Lives».
Since the onset of the full-scale war, the demand for donor blood has remained extremely high. Blood is crucial for saving injured defenders of Ukraine and other patients.
Any interested organization can arrange for a blood donation drive at their premises. To do this, you need to:
1. Gather a group of 25-50 people willing to donate blood. Ensure that potential donors do not have absolute contraindications or temporary restrictions on blood donation.
