Reconstruction of Apartment Building in Odesa Continues
In Odesa, the reconstruction of the multi-apartment building at Middle Street, 24, corp. 4 continues, which suffered significant damage due to a massive Russian missile strike.
The building sustained considerable damage to its external structures, partitions, and constructive elements. Experts note that only timely stabilization efforts prevented the structure from collapsing.
Recently, active recovery work has commenced.
«Restoration work is being carried out in an area of heightened danger due to the presence of 11 floors above without vertical support over an area of about 100 square meters», emphasized Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Odesa City Council's Department of Municipal Economy.
«Most of the dismantling work has been completed. We have moved on to a more difficult phase - restoring the reinforced concrete frame. The first vertical column element has been installed. Preparatory work for pouring the second slab has begun, with a strength disk connecting this structure», said Anatoliy Rahulin, director of LLC «Stikon».
Builders note that the work is quite labor-intensive and complex, with no analogs in Ukraine. To preserve all parts of the structure, it is necessary to work partially and in specific sections. This takes more time but is more effective for preserving the multi-story building.
Work is planned to be completed by the end of June 2025.
