Innovative Energy Solutions for Odesa's Resilience

The municipal enterprise «TMO» has enhanced its capabilities with a new mobile emergency power source, featuring an innovative setup with a diesel generator, photovoltaic system, and batteries.

The solar panels provide a capacity of 7.5 kW, while the generator operates at 32 kW, and the batteries have a capacity of 60 kW. The maximum load capacity is up to 25 kW.

In the case of power outages or network damage, this mobile unit can quickly supply electricity to essential facilities.

The city expresses its deep gratitude to the project «Promotion of Energy Efficiency and Implementation of the EU Directive on Energy Efficiency in Ukraine,» implemented by GIZ Ukraine on behalf of the German government, for enhancing the resilience of the Odesa community during crisis situations.

The measures conducted under the «Enhancing Urban Resilience in Municipal Communities in Ukraine» project are part of the German transitional assistance commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ) and carried out by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
