Empowering Women in Cybersecurity: A New Learning Initiative
A new online program titled "Empowering Women in Cybersecurity" is being launched in Ukraine, implemented by CDTO Campus, Diia.Business, and Diia.Education with the support of the German cybersecurity company Monarch and the German Federal Foreign Office.
This educational initiative aims to equip women with foundational knowledge in cybersecurity and to teach them advanced skills applicable in both their professional and everyday lives.
"The Women in Cyber program serves as a crucial starting point for women looking to shift their career paths, enhance their digital skills, or gain a deeper understanding of digital risks. During the course, participants will be guided by leading experts from the UK and will acquire the knowledge and practical skills necessary for a confident entrance into one of the most critical fields of today. Our goal is to systematically develop cybersecurity in Ukraine, address gender imbalances in technology, and create genuine opportunities for learning, employment, and growth," said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
This program is designed for women who aspire to enter the field of cybersecurity or to gain new knowledge applicable to their current professional roles. The course content will be accessible to anyone interested, without the need for prior experience in cybersecurity.
Throughout the training, students will familiarize themselves with key concepts and principles of cybersecurity, learn about the specifics of working in the field from experienced experts, and receive practical advice.
The program will consist of seven lectures covering foundational and practical topics: basics of cybersecurity; risks and compliance; threat intelligence and resilience during conflict; OSINT utilization; the role of women and keys to cyber resilience; personal growth in the cyber realm. Additionally, organizers will address career opportunities within cybersecurity.
