Emergency Rescue at the Beach: Life-Saving Efforts

At the beach near the 16th station of the Great Fountain, emergency responders rushed to save a 14-year-old girl who was in critical condition and unconscious after drowning. The road to the scene was blocked by parked cars and traffic, delaying the arrival of help. This was reported by the Emergency Medical Assistance and Disaster Medicine Center of the Odesa region.

Fortunately, another medic was present at the beach and began performing CPR while the emergency team navigated through the vehicles.

After stabilizing the girl’s condition, she needed urgent transport to intensive care, but on the way back, traffic again posed a problem.

The Emergency Medical Assistance Center of Odesa emphasizes that such incidents are not exceptions but rather a systemic issue. Medics urge drivers not to block access, especially near beaches and popular recreational areas.

“Please, think of emergency medical services and imagine for a moment that your loved ones could be in that ambulance: husband, wife, child,” noted emergency physician Yelizaveta Churilova.
