How to Recover Your Driver's Documents During Wartime
Loss or theft of driver's documents is an unfortunate event that can happen to anyone. This is especially true during wartime, when people are forced to leave their homes. If you've lost your vehicle registration certificate, you may be wondering where to go and what to do?
The key is to remain calm. Driver's documents can be quickly recovered at any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If you cannot come in person, you can grant a power of attorney to someone else to represent your interests.
To restore your documents, you will need:
a passport with a residence registration (or an ID card and a residence extract);
a copy of the tax identification number certificate;
a police report (if the certificate was stolen).
The approximate cost is 350 UAH for the administrative service and 540 UAH for the certificate form. You can also choose to get a new license plate or keep your existing one. The re-registration and issuance of documents take place on the same day. Additionally, you can order an electronic vehicle registration certificate without producing a plastic version.
More detailed information about the vehicle re-registration service can be found on the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Remember, services at territorial units are provided by prior registration in the E-Record system or via a terminal located within the service center.
